The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Pfc. James J. Oquin, 20, of El Paso, Texas, died July 23 in Orgun-E, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident when he was swept away by the current when a levee broke near his military vehicle in Paktika, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.

San Clemente, Calif. — Wednesday afternoon, U.S. Border Patrol agents discovered 10 wrapped packages of methamphetamine inside a Nissan Frontier pick-up truck approximately one mile south of the I-5 checkpoint.

At approximately 1 p.m., a 25-year-old male U.S citizen was arrested in connection with the seizure after agents encountered him with the Nissan parked on the interstate median. After questioning the driver, a Border Patrol K-9 team conducted an external check of the vehicle. The K-9 team alerted to the rear seat area of the pick-up, prompting agents to conduct an inspection of the truck’s interior.
Agents detected seven bundles of methamphetamine hidden inside of a speaker box atop the rear seat. An additional three bundles of methamphetamine were found behind the rear seat. The bundles had a total weight of 23.72 pounds with an estimated street value of $426,960.
Agents later turned custody of the suspected smuggler and narcotics over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.

New Jersey Taxpayers Not Obligated to Fund Planned Parenthood
Christian Newswire/ — For far too long and without voter approval, NJ taxpayers were forced to fund Planned Parenthood in the state budget under “family planning services.” In Governor Christie’s FY 11 budget, he proposed completely eliminating $7.5M in funding to Planned Parenthood/family planning clinics. A group of pro-abortion lawmakers endorsed by Planned Parenthood’s Political Action Committee, pushed a supplemental bill through the legislature in June which would have restored $7.5M to these centers. By vetoing the bill, Governor Christie freed NJ taxpayers from complicity with the nation’s largest abortion provider.
Planned Parenthood Affiliates of NJ administers control over the operations of the NJ family planning clinics. Every NJ family planning center under Planned Parenthood’s control counsels and refers for abortion. Despite assertions to the contrary from some lawmakers that none of the money will be used for abortion, the funds will be used for abortion because these centers have the mutual financial advantage of referring pregnant clients to one of the three “Planned Parenthood/family planning” centers that perform abortion. Planned Parenthood also operates a Political Action Committee and lobbies for funding for its clinics.
In its most recent annual report for the year ending June, 2008, Planned Parenthood Federation of America and its affiliates list the following pregnancy services: 305,310 abortions, 4,012 adoption referrals and 10,914 prenatal care services. These statistics and their disproportionate ratios confirm that they are the largest provider of abortions in the nation, and that contrary to many of their supporters’ assertions, they are indeed all about abortion and not about saving lives.
Planned Parenthood claims their services are saving the state money and actually preventing abortions, but the statistics indicate otherwise. They show that more than half of teenage pregnancies ended in abortion in New Jersey in 2005 and NJ currently has the second highest rate of teen abortions in the nation. STD rates continue to rise steadily in NJ as well. Their sexually explicit and inappropriate materials and presentations provided to children during classroom presentations continue to elicit numerous objections from parents.
Ignoring these grim realities and the responsibilities entrusted to them by the people they serve, a handful of legislators endorsed by the political arm of Planned Parenthood have been clamoring to defy the Governor’s decision and award $7.5M of our taxpayer dollars so Planned Parenthood can continue to push its radical and harmful social agenda in our state. It is time to stop the absurdity of funding an industry that has failed miserably and has a financial self interest in keeping the status quo, especially when it comes to young girls and women in NJ.
The taxpayers of New Jersey are under no obligation, statutory or otherwise, to fund the radical and failed social agenda of Planned Parenthood. We commend Governor Christie for his steadfast opposition to restoring these funds and for working to promote the best health care for all NJ citizens.

Rep. Susan Lynn Tells Congress “No” to ObamaCare
Joins 1,800 State Lawmakers in Nationwide Effort to Preserve States’ Rights; Stop Single-Payer
NASHVILLE, TN – State Representative Susan Lynn (R-Lebanon) signed onto an official letter from the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) to Congressional leaders expressing the will of more than 1,800 state legislators opposing federal reform efforts—particularly, the Medicare-modeled “public plan” and a national health insurance exchange—which will trample states’ rights and lead Americans down the road to single-payer health care.
“Constitutionally, insurance is not the domain of the federal government but of the states,” said Rep. Lynn. “The real problem is that over the last 35 years states have allowed health insurance products to morph in ways that have served to hurt consumers – this problem started in the states and the solution lies with the states. A federal solution will not fix the problems within the states – it is past time we roll-up our sleeves and change things on the state level.”
The members of ALEC—the nation’s largest nonpartisan, individual membership association of state legislators—recently approved the Resolution on Preserving States’ Rights Regarding Federal Health Insurance Exchanges and a Public Plan, which deems the federal public plan anti-competitive and calls the proposed national health insurance exchange a “federal takeover” of the states’ role in regulating health insurance.
“The government will never compete unless it can change the rules to win,” says Iowa Representative Linda Upmeyer, minority whip, family nurse practitioner, and chair of ALEC’s Health and Human Services Task Force. “It’s an unlevel playing field when a public plan can shift costs to our state’s private insurers because of low doctor and hospital reimbursement rates, and then raid the federal Treasury for unlimited subsidies,” she added.
In the ALEC letter to Congress, ALEC’s lawmakers criticized the federal push to shift health care decisionmaking to Washington. “We all share the goal that patients deserve to choose their own quality, affordable, private health coverage,” the letter states. “But health reform shouldn’t just be the job of the federal government.”

The “Change” is Permanent
America is in big trouble.
Most people I’ve talked to about the trillions of dollars being spent (that is “borrowed” and spent) do not seem to realize what is going on. This amount of money has never been spent by a country in the history of the world. Our great, great, great grandchildren will owe these debts. And who is benefiting? Well, let’s see. Who controls the country? The bankers and corporations control the media and government by and large. Hmm, just so happens they are walking off with billions of dollars. What a coincidince.
When I’ve talked to people about this they just look at me with a puzzled look, as if to say, government does this all the time. No. This has never happened before. Not like this. America, the country we grew up in, will never be the same. I wrote this back in April but it is still valid now. This “bailout” could have paid every mortgage in this country with plenty of money left over. “Bailout” equals “Taxpayers in bondage for generations to come”. It is like calling the Nazi Concentration Camps the New Homeland for the Jews. Yeah, right. To get a sense of how illegal this is listen to Bill Moyers’ interview with William K. Black, former regulator who went after some banks during the savings and loan scandals in the late eighties.

We should never forget the victims of 911, and their loved ones and families
Eight years after the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001 questions still remain. Legitimate questions. Normal everyday people still wonder exactly what did happen on that day. The corporatemedia has been blaming Osama Bin Laden since about 20 minutes after the second plane hit the twin towers. The public is supposed to buy their story, exactly as it is presented, with no questions or be labelled – God forbid – a “truther”; and then be treated with scorn, ridicule, and contempt, sort of the way the media treats Ron Paul or Sarah Palin. Thousands of people killed, four different jets crash, three into buildings, and we are supposed to shut up and not ask questions. We are being treated like 1st graders, being told to put our head on our desk and shut our eyes. This was too big, too awful, and too quickly dismissed to not ask questions. Something is not right and just about everyone knows this.
On a personal level, I bought the story at first but after several years questions began to arise. When watching a replay of building 7 collapse for no apparently good reason I mentioned this to a friend. He acted like I was strange for even wondering what brought the building down. Then I saw a video of the building owner saying the decision was made to “pull” the building in the light of all the destruction and loss of life. I thought, okay, so they “pulled” – (brought down) – the building, so what? This led to me wonder how they could get the explosive charges in the building while it was on fire, etc. Since then my questions have mounted.
Why were the victims’ families and love ones treated like dirt when they had questions? Why were various reporters, when looking into the events in New York, told “leave it alone, you don’t know who you’re dealing with”? Why did Guiliani have firefighters arrested for protesting when they wanted a chance to recover their fallen brothers out of the rubble before the mayor had the debris hauled off? Why did the media not make a big deal of this? Why was there no on-scene investigation of the World Trade Center site? Why was a gag order put on the firefighters who were at the Twin Towers on 9/11? Why not let them speak? Another question was why does the media when bringing up 911 seem to focus on the Twin Towers but hardly focuses on the attack at the Pentagon?

A few years ago after briefly looking into what happened at the Pentagon on that day a question popped into my mind, Where is the debris from the plane? I looked a little further and found that many have asked the same question. Why were men in business suits picking up pieces of metal off the Pentagon lawn?
What really happened on 9/11? I do not know, but I do know that there are many unanswered questions. These questions do need to be looked into. The media finding fault and demeaning those who want answers is reprehensible. Yet, that is the way they roll. For the sake of this country and the families affected by this tragedy, let’s keep asking the questions and keep seeking the truth. We will prevail.

What is really in the vaccines?
Does it really matter what is in vaccines? Can they be dangerous?
How about the “father” of about ten of our modern vaccines, Maurice Hilleman explaining how he inadvertently brought the AIDS virus into the United States when importing monkeys from Africa? Later, these same monkeys were used in the development of vaccines. Or the fact that many children were injected with or swallowed the “SV40″ virus, a Simian (monkey) cancer causing virus when they received their polio vaccination?
Watch ViewZone’s Maurice Hilleman interview. Here is one of the foremost scientists, as far as the development of vaccines, admitting that these vaccines had real problems. Extremely dangerous and potentially lethal, the vaccines were given to innocent school children. In an off the record unguarded moment, he snickers as he explains about him being responsible for bringing in the AIDS virus which apparently wound up in vaccines. (Some highly suspect it was in some hepatitis vaccines)

From the report, SCIENCE OF VACCINE DAMAGE, “A team at Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine conducted several studies (1,2) to determine if vaccines can cause changes in the immune system of dogs that might lead to life-threatening immune-mediated diseases. They obviously conducted this research because concern already existed. It was sponsored by the Haywood Foundation which itself was looking for evidence that such changes in the human immune system might also be vaccine induced. It found the evidence.”
The report starts with the headline question, “Why Do 160,000 Cats Each Year in the USA Develop Terminal Cancer at Their Vaccine Injection Sites?” A very good question. Notice the word terminal. And of course, notice the word cancer. They go on to state that vaccinated dogs developed autoantibodies to various biochemicals in their own body. In other words, the dogs system started attacking itself. A condition found in many diseases. This was not the case in the non-vaccinated dogs at Purdue.
We act as though vaccines cure everything
Some of the ingredients in vaccines are quite shocking. Mercury, which is highly toxic, is in some vaccines. Formaldehyde, aluminum hydroxide, aluminum phosphate, human diploid cells from aborted fetal tissue, measles live virus, rubella live virus, chick embryonic fluid, thimerosal (which is 49% mercury), rhesus monkey fetal lung cells, processed gelatin, fetal bovine serum, guinea pig embryo cells, albumin from human blood, aspartame, are found in vaccines along with many other strange ingredients. It is a wonder that more research isn’t done on finding out if some of these vaccines do cause cancer or other serious health problems. Recently HHS purchased more of two ingredients for the H1N1 “Swine Flu” vaccine. From their Press Release, “HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced today that the department will commit $884 million to purchase additional supplies of two key ingredients for potential H1N1 vaccine to further prepare the nation for a potential resurgence of the 2009 H1N1 virus.” Almost a billion dollars spent on a “potential” vaccine. With this kind of money routinely involved, it seems studies might tend to vindicate any vaccines from doing harm, sort of the way tobacco companies used to fund studies that remarkably found nothing wrong with smoking tobacco. Terminal cancer in cats, but you have nothing to worry about. If it were a lab rat or mouse that got cancer from a vaccine, then we would have a problem?
